WHO WE SERVE

Healthcare

Federally qualified health centers, free clinics, and everyone you are connected to.

Health centers do not operate alone. You are integrated with a hospital partner, a county behavioral health board, a state reporting requirement, and a handful of vendors who do not talk to each other. When something in that chain breaks, care slows down.

We have spent years inside that chain. We have designed and built dental clinics inside health centers and the imaging and x-ray systems behind them. We have set up telehealth across the country and supported mobile units in the field. When a county has stepped back from offering a service, we have helped FQHCs to handle the transition: migrating patient records, bringing patients over, replacing the aging equipment, and connecting the new site to everything else you run.

We also do the work that does not look like technology. We have helped health centers document their infrastructure for grant applications, including FCC funding for equipment, and we come back to that work each year as new funding cycles open.

WHAT WE HELP WITH
  • Systems that connect your sites, your partners, and your county boards
  • Security, backup, and continuity built for HIPAA requirements
  • Technology transitions when you take on a new site or a new service line
  • Grant and funding support on the technology side
  • Day-to-day managed support, so your staff is not the help desk
QUESTIONS WE HEAR

We already have an EHR vendor. Where do you fit?

Underneath them. Your EHR is an application. We take care of the network, the devices, the security, and the connections it depends on, and we work alongside your vendor rather than replacing them.

Are you HIPAA compliant?

We build and manage environments to meet HIPAA requirements, and we document what we do so you can show your work during an audit. Compliance is part of the job, not a separate product.

WHO WE SERVE

Nonprofits

Mission-driven organizations that stretch every dollar.

We built CEM to bring the kind of technology guidance that large for-profit institutions take for granted to non-profit organizations that cannot afford a full IT department and, in most cases, should not need to hire one.

That means we are honest about what you actually need. We are not going to tell you to hire internal staff you do not require, and we are not going to sell you a shelf of products. We will meet with you regularly and help you to audit your full technology stack, making sure that the technology you use is the technology you need. We would rather help you spend less on technology so you can spend more on the people you serve.

We work with community organizations, service nonprofits, climate initiatives, and foundations. When a client replaces equipment, we look for a free clinic or a smaller organization that can use it. We help you navigate nonprofit-focused offers for licenses and services, making sure you can access the support your organization qualifies for.

WHAT WE HELP WITH
  • A technology plan that fits your budget and your fiscal year
  • Security and backup that protects donor and client information
  • Grant support on the technology side of an application
  • Managed support, so your team is not troubleshooting instead of working
  • Honest guidance when a technology decision gets bigger than it should be
QUESTIONS WE HEAR

Our budget is very small. Is it worth talking to you?

Yes. We would rather have the conversation and tell you honestly what you do and do not need than watch you overspend somewhere else.

Can you work within our fiscal year and approval process?

Yes. We are used to it. Budget cycles, board approval, and vendor onboarding are normal parts of how our clients operate, and we can help you to build the request.

WHO WE SERVE

Public sector

Local, state, and federal agencies that answer to the public.

We have worked at a federal scale. As a subcontractor, we have built backend systems for federal agencies, and we support community services boards at the county level, city governments, and state departments.

That range is the point. The agencies we work with are usually connected to nonprofits, health centers, and private contractors, and the technology between them has to hold. We understand procurement timelines, documentation requirements, and what it takes to keep serving constituents while the systems underneath them change.

WHAT WE HELP WITH
  • Modernization that does not interrupt service to the public
  • Security, continuity, and documented compliance
  • Integration between agencies, providers, and community partners
  • Infrastructure design and ongoing managed support
QUESTIONS WE HEAR

Have you worked on government contracts?

Yes, both directly and as a subcontractor, at the federal, state, and county levels.

Can you work within our procurement process?

Yes. Tell us what your process requires and we will meet it.

WHO WE SERVE

Private businesses

Small and mid-sized companies that need technology to simply work.

Over more than thirty years we have worked in what is close to every industry: heavy and light manufacturing, accounting firms, law firms, title companies, dealerships, telecom, and more. Not much can surprise us at this point.

For most of these companies, we become the technology team they do not have on staff. We handle the monitoring, the patching, the backups, the security, and the help desk, for a fixed monthly cost, so you can plan the expense and stop thinking about it.

WHAT WE HELP WITH
  • Managed IT for a predictable monthly fee
  • Infrastructure design and maintenance
  • Security, backup, and business continuity
  • Mobile device management for company and personal devices
  • Strategic guidance when the technology decisions get large
QUESTIONS WE HEAR

What size company do you usually work with?

All sizes. Even if you are large enough to run a full internal IT department, we can augment your team or take over the day-to-day tasks so your people can focus on the most important issues. We can also lend an outside perspective, auditing your environment and suggesting more efficient and innovative ways to accomplish your mission and save money.

Do you charge hourly or monthly?

Managed services is a fixed monthly fee based on the size of your environment. Projects are quoted separately, before the work starts.

Meeting us at the VCHA Annual Conference?

Tell us on the contact form and we will set up a conversation about what your healthcare center is dealing with and see how we can help. If you decide you would like to work with us, your first month of managed services will be 25% off.

Not sure which of these you are? That is normal. Most of our clients are more than one.
